Rilo Kiley offers best album so far this year

This year has produced a lot of good albums by some of my favorite musicians. "Easy Tiger" by Ryan Adams and "Icky Thump" by the White Stripes to name a few. But today Rilo Kiley released "Under The Blacklight," which could be the most enjoyable album I've heard all year.

The Los Angeles band doesn't get much mainstream exposure, however they've spent time charming the late night television crowds. They've worked with other groups like Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service. They're songs have been heard during episodes of "Grey's Anatomy" and "Weeds." But even considering all that, "Under the Blacklight" will be the main thing to bring Rilo Kiley out of the dark.

Another interesting fact is members Jenny Lewis and Blake Sennett are former child actors. Lewis starred in "Troop Beverly Hills" (one of my favorites) and Sennett was cast in TV series "Salute Your Shorts" and "Boy Meets World."
I will be traveling to Dallas on Oct. 6 to shell out $20 and see this band.

AND don't forget that Jenny Lewis was in one of the greatest movies ever, "The Wiz" with Fred Savage.

Also, this band got boring about 3 years ago, and I got to see Ryan Adams and The White Stripes this summer, and you didn't.

LISTEN to the album, it's so far from boring! And, as usual, there you go rubbing in all the great concerts you've been to.
